Tickets

WILL MY TICKETS BE POSTED OUT TO ME?

No. You will receive your tickets by email. There will be no ticket collection point at the venue so you must bring your tickets with you either printed or on your phone/tablet. If you have lost or misplaced your tickets you should either login to your Ticket Tailor account or contact us on hello@scottishwildfoodfestival.co.uk and we’ll help get it sorted!

CAN I BUY TICKETS ON THE DOOR?

Yes, however we strongly recommend that you pre-book tickets as we are anticipating the event to sell out. Any unsold tickets will be available on the day from the venue.

I CAN’T MAKE IT NOW, CAN I HAVE A REFUND?

Tickets are refundable up to 7 days before the event. After this date you will not be eligible for a refund. However, you are permitted to give these tickets to friends or family or resell for face value.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

If the event is cancelled by the event producers, customers will be offered a full refund.

CAN I BOOK ADD-ONS ON THE DAY?

All Meals need to be booked one week prior to the Festival and the only spaces available on the day will be cancellations. All other Add-Ons with space remaining can be booked and paid for at the Info Point Bookings Desk on the main road opposite the lawn.

The Event

WHEN SHOULD WE ARRIVE?

You are welcome to join us for as much or as little as you would like. If you are booked onto a workshop you should head to the venue 5-10 minutes before the start time.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE EVENT IS CANCELLED DUE TO ADVERSE WEATHER?

A: The event will take place in all weather conditions unless deemed to pose a risk to the public or performers (particularly due high winds). The event production team will take advice from the Met Office and assess conditions regularly. We will make a decision on the day before the event day and in the event of cancellation we will inform customers by email by 6pm, as well as making announcements on our social media channels. Customers are encouraged to check our social media channels and personal email account used for booking on the day before the event. The weather is the one thing out of our control and customers are advised to dress accordingly. Warm clothing, waterproofs and sturdy footwear are all recommended along with small umbrellas if raining.

CAN I TAKE PHOTOS OF THE EVENT AND POST THEM ONLINE?

A: Yes, absolutely. We encourage you to share your photos on social media using the hashtag #scottishwildfoodfestival and tagging @scotwildfoodfestival

Photography/videography of the event

The Scottish Wild Food Festival will be documenting the event through photography and videography. This will be used for future press, promotion and marketing including (but not limited to) press releases, websites, social media and print. If you would not like images of yourself or any of your party to be used in this way please do let us know at the welcome desk and we will ensure this is actioned. We will display signage on site stating this policy.

Need to know

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO THE EVENT?

A: We want you to enjoy the experience as much as possible and there’s nothing worse than being cold. Please check the weather forecast before you come and dress accordingly. We recommend warm clothes, waterproofs and suitable, sturdy footwear (walking boots, wellies, sturdy shoes etc with thick socks).

DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING WITH ME?

A: Please bring your tickets either printed or on your phone – we prefer to reduce unnecessary paper waste e-tickets are preferred. If you want to pay for Add-Ons on the day please bring a card to make payment at the Info Point Bookings Desk. If you have pre-booked a workshop your facilitator may request you bring something specific. Some of our market traders will accept card payments but due to our remote location connectivity may be limited so we advise you to bring some cash.

Please bring a refillable water bottle and keep cup for coffee (discount on hot drinks if you do).

Please bring a reusable bag for anything you may wish to purchase at the market place.

CAN WE BRING OUR DOG ALONG?

Well behaved dogs are very welcome on the site, but must remain on leads at all times, be comfortable in busy environments and cleaned up after. In the indoor spaces in the centre, please check with staff before bringing your dog in - we’ll accommodate when possible, but sometimes these small spaces are too crowded, or there are already dogs or our resident cat in there.

IS THE SITE SUITABLE FOR BUGGIES?

A: While the site is largely suitable for buggies it is muddy in parts (which can worsen with heavy rain), and some of the paths have steps, so we advise using a sling to carry your little one around if you have one and feel comfortable doing so. Stewards will happily point you in the direction of the best routes to take.

Facilities

IS THERE CAR PARKING?

A: Yes. We have parking on site. Due to restricted capacity, parking must be reserved (please buy parking along with your event tickets), and is at a cost of £6 per day. Disabled parking spaces are also available.

ARE THERE TOILETS AT THE EVENT?

A: Yes there are portaloos onsite, and the main hub has toilet facilities, including an accessible unit.

Accessibility

IS it SUITABLE FOR WHEELCHAIRS?

Whilst the site is suitable for wheelchairs in some areas, the woodland area includes some rough mud paths (which can worsen with heavy rain), and some stretches of paths with steps that are not accessible. We advise wheelchair users to come with someone who can assist if possible. There will be stewards on hand to help as required, and we will highlight any workshops in areas that will require a little advance planning to ensure ease of access. If you have specific questions, or would especially like access to particular workshops, please contact us on hello@scottishwildfoodfestival.co.uk, so that we can advise, and help make a plan.
